Ohhhh myyyyy gooooood.... OMG OMG OMG :) I went to the Westman Islands today to meet my coworkers for the summer and I was given the grand tour around the islands.... I SAW LOADS OF PUFFINS... and also tons of my favourite bird Golden Plover (lóa) which I have not seen yet in Reykjavík even though they should have arrived. The flight over there was very early and the islands were covered in thin morning mist and it looked soooo amazing, and when the mist cleared it took my breath away to see Hekla covered in snow and the magnificent Eyjafjallaglacier. I almost cried... it was also very warm (10-15°C hehe) and it was just amazing... I went sunbathing while waiting for my tiny airplane back to Reykjavík. I cannot wait to get over there in end of May, away from all the noise and stress... but everyone has to come and visit me, i might get a house for the summer so there will be plenty of room :)

Everybody vote for Lordi from Finland in the Eurovision song contest !!!!!!

"Originally hailing from Northern Finland, Lordi now resides in that universal nightmare network of sewers, cemetaries and creepy attics."

"Just when everything appeared to be business as usual in the Lordi camp - the album finished and all - we're informed that they have been entered into the qualification rounds of the Eurovision Song Contest! I kid you not. Finland, who's claim to Eurovision fame remains a lone 6th place from some 30 years ago might well be tempted to unleash this beast upon the said cosy European institution. Annihilate the whole damn thing once and for all! Brothers and Sisters, let me hear a Hard Rock Hallelujah!!"

"Lordi and his gang of derelicts have already made appearances in a fair number of European countries, armed with their pyrotechnics, theatrics and that infamous wall of sound. Their motto: always over the top, never under the belt. Good clean fun for everyone (Ha! Ha! Ha!)! Now they're setting their sights further afield. They're out to get you. Just head towards the sound, follow the trail of horror videos, gory cartoons, action dolls and related memorabilia and you will find your way to the Unholy Grail."

HAHAHAHA :)

Jeiiiiii, Im Buffy :) and a bit embarressed to admit that...

You Are Buffy the Vampire Slayer

"We saved the world. I say we have to party."

OKOKOKOK.... Im not as innocent as I look like... I took the EVIL test again and I guess I wasnt as honest as I should have been... I dont step on bugs though so my heart is still mostly pure...

You Are 30% Evil

A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well.
In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil.

You Are Animal

A complete lunatic, you're operating on 100% animal instincts.
You thrive on uncontrolled energy, and you're downright scary.
But you sure can beat a good drum.
"Kill! Kill!"

You Are 18% Evil

You are good. So good, that you make evil people squirm.
Just remember, you may need to turn to the dark side to get what you want!

Im pretty much dead at the moment. The party last night was very funny, we had put airmattresses everywhere in the set in the studio and peaple lay there chatting in the fake sunshine while others were playing "beach"ball. There was a limbo contest, hula music, Baywatch on a big screen, shish kebabs on the barbie, punch cocktails and really bad cheap beer :) Me and Rebekka had "stolen" white sand from the only beach in Reykjavík earlier that day. I dont know if there are security cameras over there... hopefully we will not be procecuted :) My bloated kangaroo was dishonoured in the party, it was seen bouncing in the company of immoral students with a cigarette in its mouth and a fake penis taped on. This probably does not make any sense to anyone but those who were present :) The fake penis came from a collection of body parts from the props storage and was probably used in a film ages ago. Anyone familiar with this collection?

Shooting finished, set will be torn down and its pretty depressing. Everything went really well but its sad to be finished even though we are not nearly finished, all the editing is waiting. But no rest since I am organizing a big party (árshátíð) at school with a beach theme, somebody surprised? So there will be sand and hula music all night. I only had about 5 hours sleep last night and I am sooo tired... Tomorrow morning I will soooo enjoy sleeping in, I am not going to do anything tomorrow except sleeping, watching lame TV and de-hung over :) Lots to do before that though...

Not the best picture I have taken but this is Björgvin Franz (as the son who is a woman trapped in a mans body), Jóhann Sigurðarson (as the president of Iceland) and Margrét Ákadóttir (as the presidents wife). And my classmate Gummi sleeping in the corner of the set :)

Part of our set, the result of all the hard work the last couple of weeks, painting, scrubbing, filling and finding all the props to make it look like the presidential residences Bessastaðir. There are even original "fake" Kjarval paintings on the walls borrowed from the national TV station. Good to know his granddaugthers Ulla, Melkorka, Vala and Nina :)

Steinn Ármann (Bobo king of Mambo) and Brynhildur (the old german maid Gertrude) rehersing in the set we built. These two actors are so funny that we laugh our pants off every time they get into character :)

What type of Fae are you?

Our first day of shooting was today... It is so amazing to see the actors become the characters we have been creating all semester. My class is working on the final project which is one show in a situation comedy based on our script. We all have roles and my part was to control the decor and props, later on i will be in charge of the editing process. The set we built is huge, half the size of our schools studio, and it is a mimick of the presidential residences in Iceland - Bessastaðir. Nobody thought we could make it beleavable but everyone has been working really hard and the last week I have been running around finding props and buying stuff, borrowing stuff and making stuff. And now we cannot beleave the result, we are very proud since it looks really really great. My main worries were to find a fertility statue (carved man with a huge erected phallus) which in the comedy is supposed to be a gift from an african king to the president of Iceland. I found the perfect statue but it did not have a penis, so I had to make one, spray it black and tie it to the statue... it worked perfectly :) Or at least as perfect as it gets with a close to zero budget. We will be shooting this week and then start with the editing... phew, with the 3 camera setup it will be very challenging to edit it, but its all fun :)
