Ive been really busy in the last weeks working on a short film by Grímur Hákonarson, who did great things with his final project from film school in Prague, Slavek the shit. Ive been travelling quite a bit with the crew, to the south and east coast and this was a group of very interesting , fun and different characters. I cant wait to see the final product and Im really proud and happy that I got the chance to be apart of this, mushie mushie I know :)

STOP the whale hunting in Iceland !!!

Please sign this or other petitions to protest the whale hunting in Iceland. I have to make a correction though, not all species of whales are endangered but the Fin whale is endangered according to the IUCN red list of threatened species. The minke whale for example is not endangered but it should not be hunted at all and its so stupid to argue that we should hunt them because they are eating all the fish from us !!! I feel very ashamed of my government (that I didnt vote for) to give the permission to hunt whales again. The main opposition parties in the parlament have spoken against whale hunting.

The Icelandic Minister of Fisheries, Einar Kristinn Guðfinnsson is responsible for this and you can all send an e-mail to express your feelings about this: postur@sjr.stjr.is

Last Saturday we held a hens day/night for our friend Hafdís Hanna who is getting married. Since we are all adrenaline addicts we took her to the Adrenaline Park in Nesjavellir and we had an amazing time there. The hardest thing there was the big pole we had to climb up and then stand on top... it was unbeleavably difficult but it felt SOOOOO good and I felt like I could fly :) The most scary part was to let yourself fall down... OMG... We were all a bit shakie when we left andit was the biggest thrill Ive had since I climbed Hellisey last summer.
Then we all went out for dinner in Caruso which is an amazing place, incredibly cozy and romantic. Now I just cant wait for the wedding, very excited :)

Sigrún and Snævar had their baby girl this morning and her name is Sólveig Birta :) That makes 3 new babies in 5 months in my group of friends. Ingileif had Júlíus in end of May, Inger Rós had Víkingur Atli in end of August and now Sigrún´s little girl :) We are all very very happy and excited :)

The last 2 weeks have been very busy, im doing traineeship and have been at Stöð 2 (channel 2) helping out for the talk show Hemmi Gunn :) Its been fun and today was my last day, next week i will be in the production team for a short film, im very excited about that.

I had amazing time in New York on the weekend :-) Went to the Natural history museum and I saw dinosaur bones for the fist time and spent some time in the woods. There were tons of squirrels and chipmunks (my new favourites) EVERYWHERE and I also saw two species of gorgeous woodpeckers and an army of Turkey vultures :) It was great to meet up with Ulla even though it was too short.
