Back home in Iceland... what can I say? Very sad to leave everything and everyone in Oz but on the other hand it was nice to be home and meet my friends and family. The biggest mistake I made was to leave Oz in the middle of summer and come home on the coldest and darkest time of the year... Not very wise but Im getting used to it, at least the houses are warm haha :)
Now I have started going through all my data and will write up my thesis in the next months. Will graduate with a Masters degree in June 2005... Very exciting :) Nothing much planned after that.
I am afro dancing 3 times a week which is fantastic, I took a course years ago and always wanted to try again. Lots and lots of fun and good excersise since I dont have any minnies to chase anymore...

Hey all, this will probably be my last blog in Australia this time. Im packing up at the office and will go home and pack everything there tonight. Will be going to Melbourne tomorrow and my plane leaves on Wednesday morning. Its not going to be a nice'n'easy flight since I have to stop over night in Hong Kong and wait long in London. Im looking forward to seeing everyone at home but I will miss you all in Australia terribly. Thanx for reading my blog throughout the year. +++ Rannveig

Happy new year :) Wow last 3 weeks have been crazy but lots of fun. Went to Kangaroo Island with my parents and it was great to be back there. Met up with Joel, my KI tourguide since two years ago and it was great catching up. Then the girlies, my sister and Ingibjorg arrived and we had lovely Chrissie in Melbourne. Then a week of sightseeing around Melbourne and trapping my animals which was great :) New years we spent in Port Douglas in Far North Queensland and we had 5 fantastic days there, swimming with turtles, watching wild pademelons on the skippers property which he allowed us to do since he heard I was working with mammals. Very lucky. The girlies then flew to Alice and are touring around by themselves. I flew back to M'bourne with my parents and they left yesterday... I was in shock yesterday when I realized it was over, I leave on Wednesday and it all feels very strange and empt. On top of everything my passport is still in Melbourne and I have desperately been trying to get it back and finally today I was told I could come and pick it up. So now Im off to Melbourne...
