'Only 50 years left' for sea fish

In short: There will be virtually nothing left to fish from the seas by the middle of the century if current trends continue, according to a major scientific study.

This is the result of a broad 4 year study, yet the Icelandic Minister of Fisheries, Einar K. Guðfinnsson and the Director General of the Marine Research Institute Jóhann Sigurjónsson dare to question this and miss the main point "IF CURRENT TRENDS CONTINUE". They doubt this study and call it a judgements day forecast. They are convinced that people of the world should be thankful to us for hunting whales that would otherwise eat the fish and therefore maintaining the biodiversity. This is such bullshit and instead of embracing this knowledge and make plans to do something about it, they get all defencive like this is somekind of a personal attack. Yet again I feel ashamed of my government.
